AID FOR FAMILIES
As part of the social and support commitment to the neediest families, Pueblo Bonito Group, through the Letty Coppel Foundation, has orchestrated support for such families. Among these is the support for the Nevares Family. This family is integrated by Mrs. Maria Nevares and her three children, who all have individual disabilities.
The Nevares’ Family story begins with the birth of the 3 children, who were born healthy, but due to the wrong application of a medicine, suffered irreversible damage to their physical abilities. As a result, Mrs. Nevares was abandoned by her husband.
Mrs. Nevares has taken charge of the care of her children, giving them medical attention within her possibilities: in 1997, a local newspaper did a report in this family’s situation.
As of that year, Pueblo Bonito Group, through the Letty Coppel Foundation, has helped the Nevares Family with weekly food and money. Other supports that are offered are medical consultations for the family members at a private clinic, including the purchase of medication, as well as the purchase of mattresses, bedding and other home appliances.
