PARKS AND AVENUES
With the purpose of contributing to the constant improvement of the image and visual esthetics of the Los Cabos destination, Pueblo Bonito Group, through the Letty Coppel Foundation, in joint participation with the Government of the State of Baja California Sur and the Municipality of Los Cabos, has taken the task of making efforts through the implementation of a project focused on the establishment and maintenance of gardens and center dividers on roadways and municipal public areas, which takes place as a result of a program for regional flora rescue and the reestablishment of grounds, before the beginning of work in the stages of preparation of a site, construction and operation of each of the group´s developments.
The rescued vegetation is transferred to a nursery, where, under respective environmental guidelines, it is protected, producing a variety of plants that are then used in certain areas.
As part of the donation Program in gardened public areas, there are the following: on Camino Viejo/Gaviotas Ave. approximately 300 mts. of laurels were planted in the year 2000, on Miguel Ángel Herrera Ave. in the year 2002 approximately 1 km. of laurels, pines and casuarinas were planted, on Yenecamú Ave in the year 2006 approximately 400 mts of laurel rose and casuarinas were planted, and recently in the year 2007, 3.8 km of bougambilias, casuarinas, real palm and laurel were planted, from the Soriana store to the Plaza de Toros “La Sanluqueña”.
In all of these gardened areas, Pueblo Bonito Group, through the Letty Coppel Foundation, has committed to the donation of different types of plants, and also responsibly acquire the preventive and corrective maintenance of gardens; same that show a sustainable ecological benefit of image and beauty for the citizens and tourists that visit this tourist destination Los Cabos.
