Taking into account that culture and high-quality academic development are essential for any society, the Letty Coppel Foundation has taken steps to encourage both.

In the city of Mazatlan, the Casa Machado museum promotes local culture through depictions of Mazatlan’s way of life in the late 19th century, including the traditional pre-Lenten Carnival celebrations.

In Cabo San Lucas the attention has been concentrated in maintaining and restoring the Old Light House which is an icon in the history of that city, since it had an enormous impact in the local economy and culture.

To help meet the growing demand for high-quality education in Los Cabos, the Letty Coppel Foundation has contributed to two educational projects at the local level:

• The Amaranto School.

• The Peninsular Institute

Both schools offer a modern physical campus, sports facilities, and a high academic level to benefit the children of our employees as well as the general community.

The Letty Coppel Foundation and Mexico’s Institute of Adult Education have opened schools for adults within the Group’s hotels. Employees who would like to finish their studies in-house are able to do so and thus improve their opportunities for professional growth.

Our educational efforts, however, are not limited to our place of business. The Letty Coppel Foundation makes contributions to local schools for necessary improvements in their buildings and facilities.
