DOWN SYNDROME FOUNDATION
Fundación Down de Mazatlán, (Down Foundation of Mazatlan), is an Organization in favor of persons with Down Syndrome, created in 1991, is a pioneer in the state of Sinaloa, México; which was founded by parents, that, motivated by their children, decided to create a civil organization that fights for the rights of their children and everyone that has Down Syndrome.
Currently the members of the Organization are 18 families, with their children from newborns to adults.
The activities that take place since 18 years ago are:
- Emotional support, information and orientation to new parents, visiting them in hospitals.
- Seminars, workshops or courses.
- Educational support to children and youth, in the facilities of the foundation.
- Informative discussion about Down Syndrome, in schools of all levels to students and parents.
Consequently and in fulfillment of our social commitment; Grupo Pueblo Bonito, through the Letty Coppel Foundation, supports this institution for the fulfillment of its objectives for the wellbeing of persons with Down Syndrome and their families.
